The third-major outbreak of Legionnaires’ ailment recorded in U.S. history—plus the discovery in 2014 of fecal coliform germs in city water—was most likely a results of town’s failure to keep up sufficient chlorine in its water mains to disinfect the water.  Our conclusions add to broader endeavours by legislation enforcement authorities
